DISTRICT SIZE: 5,100 acres
WATER SOURCE: Groundwater from irrigation wells and Kern River riparian and Kern River surface water.
CROPS: Citrus, almonds, walnuts, olives
OTHER INFO: Supplies irrigation water for Rio Bravo Ranch and delivers water to Rio Bravo Golf Course, 3700 acre-feet to Rio Bravo Ranch and 800 acre-feet to Rio Bravo Golf Course. Infrastructure includes 6 pump stations, 5 lined reservoirs, 2 irrigation wells and mainlines to reservoirs. The district was formed October 14, 1968. No domestic water.

California relies on water from the Sierra Nevada snowpack , which melts to provide runoff to rivers and reservoirs. In normal years, melted snowpack typically supplies about 30 percent of the state’s water supply.
